Elliott Aviation, the industry’s leading Garmin retrofitter, has started their second retrofit of a Garmin G5000 in a Beechjet 400A. Elliott was the first dealer to retrofit a Garmin G5000, prior to STC approval, in October of 2015, in a Hawker 400XP. The company currently has 14 Garmin G5000 installations sold, more than all other dealers in the world, combined.

Their first installation was completed on an aircraft purchased by their aircraft sales division, Elliott Jets and was part of the Elliott Aviation exclusive 400E package. This package includes a completely redesigned weight-savings interior that, depending on options selected, can save 350 pounds or more. This aircraft is now being sold by Elliott Jets and is currently under contract with a new buyer.

The Garmin G5000 program for the Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400XP is a complete replacement of the entire avionics suite including a new Garmin autopilot system. The G5000 instrument panel consists of three 12” LCD displays that provide the pilot and copilot with all the latest technologies like synthetic vision, electronic charts, XM weather, WAAS/LPV, ADS-B compliance, engine indication and MFD range rings.

“We’ve been a long-standing partner with Garmin,” said Conrad Theisen, Director of Avionics Sales for Elliott Aviation. “We’ve done over 200 Garmin G1000 retrofits in aircraft all over the world. The G5000 not only represents the next evolution in avionics technology, but an evolution of our avionics installation expertise.”
STC approval of the system was awarded on Monday, August 29, 2016.
