Elliott Aviation, the industry’s leading Garmin retrofitter, has completed their second retrofit of a Garmin G5000 in a Beechjet 400A. The installation was completed on a 1998 Beechjet 400A with Textron Aviation installed winglets. Elliott Aviation is currently working on five additional G5000 retrofits. This includes three in work at their Moline, IL headquarters and two at their location in Des Moines, IA.
Elliott Aviation was the first dealer to retrofit a Garmin G5000, which was installed in a 2006 Hawker 400XP and sold by their jet sales division, Elliott Jets. The company currently has 15 Garmin G5000 installations sold, more than all other dealers in the world, combined.
The Garmin G5000 retrofit program for the Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400XP replaces the entire avionics suite and includes a new Garmin autopilot system. The G5000 instrument panel consists of three 12” LCD displays that provide the pilot and copilot with all the latest technologies like synthetic vision, electronic charts, XM weather, WAAS/LPV, ADS-B compliance, engine indication and MFD range rings.
“We’ve led the industry in Garmin retrofits for years and it’s a great feeling rolling out their product to a completely new audience,” said Conrad Theisen, Director of Avionics Sales for Elliott Aviation. “With over 225 Garmin G1000 retrofits in King Airs, we’ve got a great system in place from parts ordering all the way to delivery that we have translated into our new G5000 retrofit program.”
