Moline, IL, June 19, 2017 –Elliott Aviation, a leader in Aviation MRO Services and Garmin’s leading aviation retrofitter, has hired Mitch Boyles as Director of Avionics at their MRO facility in Moline, IL. With 20 years of business aviation experience and 40 years of total aviation experience, Mitch has served in avionics management roles at Gulfstream, Midcoast Aviation, StandardAero, StarPort Aviation and AMI Aviation Services.
Boyles will manage over 35 employees and oversee avionics MRO and installations at Elliott Aviation’s maintenance facility in Moline, IL. He will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Elliott Aviation’s industry-leading Garmin G1000 and G5000 programs as well as ADS-B installations.
Mitch started his aviation experience in the United States Air Force in 1977 where he served until 1985. He then worked for the Georgia Air National Guard maintaining C130H aircraft and managed a staff of 15. He started his career in business aviation in 1997 as a Senior Avionics Test Technician with Gulfstream and eventually worked his way to Avionics Manager. Throughout his career, he has been responsible for managing work forces of up to 400 employees.
