Moline, IL, June 1, 2022 – Elliott Aviation is excited to announce that it has completed its first Collins Aerospace Pro Line Fusion® upgrade in a Citation CJ2+! The install was performed at our Moline, Illinois location; from start to finish, the project took 21 working days. Moving forward, the installs will be quoted at a 4-week downtime thanks to the insight gained during this project.
“The avionics team at Elliott Aviation was able to leverage their Collins experience with both Full Pro Line 21 retrofits and being the worldwide leader in Pro Line 21™ Modernization upgrades to accomplish the short downtime,” notes Elliott’s Avionics Sales Manager, Bill Forbes.
Accomplishing over 40-50 full panel retrofits each year, Elliott team members are equipped with a full understanding of the entire installation process, from the building of the wire harness to the installation to the airplane’s checkout and delivery.
Three key takeaways for the Pro Line Fusion® upgrade are reduced pilot workload, greater situational awareness, and forward touch screens which promote a better heads-up flying experience.
Pilot workload is reduced by utilizing a new integrated flight management system. This system meets the latest equipment mandates and delivers trailblazing performance.
Situational awareness is enhanced by allowing pilots to easily interact with touch-interactive maps – showing high-resolution topography, weather, and obstacles. Industry-leading high-resolution synthetic vision displays Collins Aerospace’s patented airport dome feature and extended runway centerlines. There is also a geo-referenced electronic chart showing own-aircraft position. Also providing increased awareness, charts relevant to the flight plan are automatically staged thanks to Collins’ patented ChartLink™.
Forward touch screen displays further reduce pilot workload, leading to an enjoyable, more efficient, and safer flying experience. The touch screens are 14.1-inch widescreen LCDs with advanced graphics and configurable windows. The sizing and features of the screens provide pilots the ability to keep their focus looking up.
Pro Line Fusion® upgrades have additional options/features available as well – a key option being Controller Pilot Datalink Communications (CPDLC), which was not previously available. With the Pro Line Fusion® upgrade installed, you are also keeping your aircraft NextGen ready.
The Pro Line Fusion® upgrade for the CJ1+, CJ2+, and CJ3 is supported by a 2-year warranty on all new equipment as well as a CASP coverage on remaining Collins Aerospace equipment. The warranty includes AOG parts support, troubleshooting equipment, labor coverage for removal and refit by a Collins Aerospace dealer, and more!
As a 145-repair station for CJ1+, CJ2+, CJ3, and all other 525 CJs, Elliott Aviation is ready to help you upgrade your aircraft with the Collins Aerospace Pro Line Fusion®.
